Completely gorgeous weekend. Temperature high in lower 80s. Washed silk clothes. Wrote 3 letters. Bob called at night that his job with Georgia Pacific in Eureka only lasted a week.
Had private dance from 1-3. Bought black patton leather belt at F+N for Joseph’s robe of many colors dress. Wore dress at night. Clarke to come at 5. Came at 5:40. Dinner at Hofbrau. Saw “Shot in the Dark” at Blue Mouse.
Final exam in Voice Disorders ran from 1:45 to 3:45. Was rather difficult. Mary Ellen Kirby rode as far as Martha Inn at George. 129 travelled to there. Chinese dinner at Moss Lake. 199 miles travelled to Cle Elum. 95 for me on to Seattle 11-12:55 a.m. To bed 2:30.
Class was addressed last hour in morning by Dr. Ralph Manzo, head of voice instruction at EWSC. Dorothea + I bought cards at bookstore. I got 4 sacks for $2.00. Had 93 cards totaling $17.60. Louise Anderson Hall had party at 8. 4 of us sand around piano afterwards.
Watched film during morning coffee break of Voice Disorders. I worked slide projector in morning. Had 2 demonstrations + lecture in a.m., too!! Dr. Blakeley had help session from 4:40-5:25.
Had long letter from M. + package from home – kinds of cookies, fudge, stationery + papers. Dr. McNeil, ENT, had charge of class almost all of afternoon portion. Dorothea, Pat O’Connor + I ate dinner with Dr. Blakeley. Had steak.
X – At 9 Voice Disorders Class by Dr. Robert Blakeley. Actually got underway around 9:20. Dorothea + I among few who stayed after class for laryngeal exams. Did assigned reading at night + wrote to Clarke + Joann.
Clarke phoned at 12:25 as my mouth was full of Crest to bid me good-bye. Joann came up shortly before 1 to give me her text summary. Left home about 1:30. To Cle Elum at 3:24. Dorothea + I left there at 4:10. Arrived at Anderson Hall at 7:50.
